Terms & Conditions

If you place an order, it is on the understanding that you have read, understood and accepted our Terms & Conditions contained below. If you do not accept our T&C's, please do not use, interact or purchase from Love & Stardust. By paying your invoice, we will take this as confirmation that you have accepted our Terms & Conditions and you will be entering into a contract with Love & Stardust subject to these terms. Custom orders may not be cancelled or returned. 

These T&C's are applicable to Love & Stardust. Love & Stardust has an active Website hosted by Shopify named “Love and Stardust”. It also has the assigned website domains loveandstardust.com and lovestardust.uk

  1. Introduction

1.1 We may revise these terms and conditions at any time and you should regularly read our current terms and conditions. As a minimum you must read our current Terms & Conditions when placing an order and before paying a new invoice. If you no longer agree to accept revised terms and conditions, please no longer use, interact with or purchase from Love & Stardust. 

  1. Ordering from Love & Stardust

2.1 Please use the 'Message' button located underneath our cover photo or email us at loveandstardust@mail.com. Please be advised that we do not always receive a notification telling us that you commented on a photograph. This is a problem for all Facebook pages and please do not assume that we have ignored you. We simply do not know that you have commented. It is always prudent to contact us directly by the afrorementioned methods as well.

2.2 At present, our website is not live. Until it is published, please contact us to place your order using the methods laid out in 2.1, whereby we will send you an invoice via Paypal. 

2.3 We can refuse to accept your order if the item you have ordered or parts required to complete your order, that are no longer available.

2.4 It is the responsibility of you, the customer, to ensure that you provide us with the correct wording that you would like stamped. Please check your emails and messages for typing and spelling mistakes. Once your item has been stamped, it cannot be rectified without additional costs being incurred. We hold no responsibility if you do not provide us with accurate instructions.  

2.5 Love & Stardust will not be held responsible for any symptoms caused by allergies to specific metals, for example, some of our items may contain or be made from nickel. Every item will be clearly marked advising which metals are used. If you have an allergy to nickel or any other metal, it is you, the customers, responsibility to ensure safe and appropriate wear.

2.6 We will not stamp items with wording deemed to be obscene or offensive and we reserve the right to refuse to accept any order that we deem to fall into this category. 

 

  1. Pricing and Payment

3.1 The quickest and easiest method is via PayPal. Upon confirming your requirements, we will email you an invoice with a link for you to pay. You do not need a PayPal account to pay via PayPal. You can use a debit or credit card to pay. Alternatively you may pay by cheque (this may delay your order whilst payment clears) or by bank transfer. Details available upon request. Cleared payment in FULL must be received before we accept your order. 

3.2 Our prices do not include VAT as we are not registered for VAT.

3.3 We reserve the right to revise and review our prices on a regular basis and without prior notice.

3.4 Invoices that remain unpaid two weeks after the payment due date, will be cancelled. In this event, you will need to re-order if you still have a requirement. 

 

  1. Postage

4.1 Royal Mail 1st Class Postage is the standard method of postage we use.

4.2 Optional upgrades are available to Tracked and Special Delivery Services (Fully Tracked & Guaranteed* Next Day) 

4.3 Expedited shipping can be arranged: an upgrade to 1st Class (Special Delivery next working day by 1pm) Additional Payment will be required for this and will be charged up-front at time of ordering. Ensure you request any of these services in your initial order request to us, or at the point of invoicing.

4.4 We cannot and will not be held responsible for items that are lost or damaged in the post. Standard items will be sent with a proof of posting. Recorded Delivery is not a fully trackable service. We are only able to confirm that the item has been delivered and signed for and view the signature of the person who took receipt. We cannot track your item before it reaches its destination. If you require a fully trackable Courier service please request the same and your postage costs will increase accordingly. 

4.5 We cannot and will not be held responsible for items that are delayed in the post. Whilst we post all of our items 1st Class this does not guarantee next day delivery. If you require next day delivery or wish to ensure your item arrives by a specific date, please request an alternative method of postage and your postage costs will increase, as detailed in 4.3. 

4.6 Shipping abroad: We will ship outside of the United Kingdom however we ask that you request a cost at the time of ordering. Postal prices are dependent on your location and requirements and this will not be a trackable service. 

4.7 It is the responsibility of you, the customer, to ensure that we hold your correct address for posting. If paying via PayPal, please ensure your address as per your PayPal account is accurate as this is the address we will post to unless agreed otherwise. We hold no responsibility if you do not supply us with the correct address at the time of placing your order and your order is therefore, posted to an incorrect address.

4.8 We will only post to the address as per the one supplied as your “Shipping Address” at the point of order.

4.9 Where appropriate, we Love & Stardust, may choose to hand deliver your order, if the postal address is within our vicinity. Postal fees will still apply and will not be refunded if your order is hand delivered owing to time and expenses incurred by Ourselves.

4.10 Items “Lost” in the post: Please note Royal Mail does not class 'Standard' items as 'lost' until 10 working days have passed after the first possible date of delivery. In the event your item does not arrive, if this time has passed (12 working days) and the item cannot be located through the barcode number, I will issue a replacement/refund and make a claim with Royal Mail. Items sent via our standard postage with only “Proof of Posting” may take a little longer to raise any claim with Royal Mail.

4.11 All items will be thorough checked and cross-referenced with the invoice prior to despatch. If goods arrive in a damaged condition it is your responsibility to inform me within 7 days from delivery. This will include sending photographic evidence. I will offer a replacement or a refund upon return of the item, on a case by case basis.

 

  1. Cancellation Policy

5.1 You do not have the right to cancel if your goods are made to the customers specifications or are personalised. You may NOT cancel your order if we have commenced work on your order, therefore, we urge you to contact us as soon as possible should you wish to cancel your order, and in any event, within 24 hours and we will do our utmost to accommodate your request. We reserve the right to refuse to cancel your order and refuse partial or full payment if work has commenced on your order. However, non-personalised items are subject to a 14 day cooling off period. 

 

  1. When can I expect to receive my Order?

6.1 This depends upon a number of factors, for example, we may need to source and order specific base materials or I may be working on a large order at the time. If you are buying for a gift or a wedding and need your item by a specific date, please let me know. I will always to my utmost to achieve this and if at the time of your enquiry, I feel it may not be possible, I will always proceed with caution and advise accordingly. As a general rule, please allow 10/14 days (usually less).

 

  1. Returns Policy 

7.1 If you change your mind or you are not completely satisfied, you may return your order (non-personalised items and ready made items only) within 7 days and I will refund you. The item must be returned in its original condition, unworn and in its original packaging to prevent damage in post. The item must be returned to us in a condition whereby it can be re-sold. I ask kindly that you contact me to discuss the return before sending it in the post.

7.2 You, the buyer, will be responsible for postage both ways. Upon safe return of the item, I will refund you minus the cost of postage & packing. 

7.3 Customised or bespoke items may not be returned. 

7.4 Earrings may not be returned for health & safety reasons

Please be aware that we are not a 'trying on service' and each order takes precious time to hand craft. Please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss your requirements before purchasing. 

7.5 We urge you to return your order to us using a secure method of postage with insurance and obtain proof of postage. We will not be held responsible for items that are lost in the post and that do not arrive at Love & Stardust and you will be expected to claim for any losses via Royal Mail or via the company that you have instructed to return your order to us. 

7.6 We will not refund or exchange any item owing to damage from general wear and tear or age. Please read clause 8. for advice on how to care for your item. 

 

  1. How do I care for my Item?

8.1 Don't: Allow your item to get damp or wet as this will encourage tarnishing. Try to avoid getting hairspray or perfume on your item and do not wear in the bath or shower. Items that have been hand stamped will be a variety of different metals that will dull over time. We suggest if necessary, that you clean with water and mild soap and buff with a soft cloth. There are also products on the market such as Mother’s Mag that will clean and polish aluminium for example. 

8.2 If over time your item does dull, lose its shine or the paint on your wording fades, you may send it to us (address provided upon request) whereby we will endeavour to polish and re-ink your wording, giving it a new lease of life. We do not guarantee that your item will look 'new' but we will endeavour to achieve best results. We will return your item to you. You the customer will be responsible for postage costs both ways however our maintenance service is free of charge (except postage) and is applicable for the life of your jewellery and whilst Love & Stardust continues to trade. If you request for parts to be replaced or your jewellery to be added to, additional costs will apply. 

8.3 We receive many orders for children. Whilst we endeavour to create our items to the highest standard using quality materials, please remember that items are handmade and will damage with rough handling. Handmade jewellery is not a toy or a play thing. We kindly ask you assess the age of the child you are buying for to ensure their item is looked after and assess the way that you use and store your item so as not to cause damage. ALL our items are handmade. Any item that is made from twisted wire or other metal that is manipulated by hand will weaken causing damage by repeated bending or general wear and tear. Our items are not machine made/welded and may not withstand the same handling.

8.4 Whilst maximum care is taken to minimise any sharp edges, our items are made of metal and we will not be held responsible for injury caused by misuse or use without care and attention. 

8.5 Cuff Bracelets that are subject to ‘bending’ or ‘stretching’ to be put on or taken off during wear will over time weaken the metal itself and may be prone to cracking or breaking, without due care.

8.6 Keyrings: Please bear in mind that if they are attached to your large bunch of keys and therefore pulled in and out of handbags or pockets, often with other items on top and are being used daily, this may cause damage such as scratching. Many customers use them as bag charms or attach them to a back door or garage key that does not have such daily use but can still be functional.

Having said this, if you encounter any problems at all please do not hesitate to contact me where we always do our best to help.

 

  1. Privacy & Photographs of completed orders 

9.1 Photos of completed orders are often messaged out to customers via our Facebook page as a method of making sure you are completely satisfied before the customised item is posted and to allow eager customers the chance to have a sneak peak! Please advise if you do not wish your completed item to be published on the public main page itself. We never tag or use full names in our publishings. Any personal information such as telephone numbers will be blurred and not shared with other parties. However, 'names' that have been hand stamped onto your item will be published unless agreed otherwise. If you place an order, it is on the understanding that you have read, understood and accepted our terms and conditions and advised where relevant, if you do not wish your completed item published.

9.2 We will not share your personal data with any third party.

 

  1. Service Access 

10.1 We endeavour to ensure that all details on our Facebook page and website and elsewhere are up to date however we do not guarantee that this will always be the case and can refuse to accept your order if the item you have ordered or parts required to complete your order, are no longer available. 

10.2 Access to the Facebook page or website may be suspended temporarily without notice for service and we will not be liable if the same are unavailable. 

 

  1. Competition/Give-Aways

 

11.1 All terms and conditions are applicable to any competition or give-away held by us.

11.2 Competitions and give-aways held by us are in no way affiliated or associated to Facebook.

11.3 For Facebook: In accordance with Facebook policy, you will not be required to 'share' our page or any post in order for your entry to be valid, however all 'shares' are deeply appreciated.

11.4 As a minimum, the winner will be announced on our Facebook page on the day designated. The winner will have 7 days after the competition/give-away has closed to contact us to claim their prize. It is the responsibility of you, the entrant and winner, to contact us within 7 days. Any entrant/winner who contacts us after the 7 day period, will not be eligible to claim their prize. We, Love & Stardust, cannot always contact you personally due to privacy settings or messages being sent to your 'Other' folder and therefore, it is you, the entrants, responsibility to interact with the page to find out if you have won and take appropriate steps to contact us within 7 days.

11.5 The winner will be selected at random using a random number generator. Our decision is final. All entries will be validated. If the entrant selected has not complied with the individual requirements of each competition, another winner will be selected.

11.6 If the winner fails to contact us within the 7 day period after the winner has been drawn and announced, we are not under any obligation to re-draw a winner and the prize may therefore, remain unclaimed. 

Love & Stardust will not tolerate abusive or obscene language on their page and reserve the right to delete any post or ban and report any user, that we feel acts in an inappropriate manner. 

A link directing you to these T&C's will be sent with all invoices sent to you via PayPal or via email/Facebook for all internet sales. A paper copy will be sent with all orders received via any other non customer facing method. 

Please remember that all items are handmade and therefore, will vary slightly from the photographs shown. Our wording is stamped by hand and therefore, by its nature and appeal, will have its imperfections and irregularities and no two items will be the same.

All of the images on our Social Media pages, Etsy Shop and Website are our own ~ genuine items that have been handmade by ourselves and photographed as such ~ the images on this website therefore are the property of Love & Stardust, as is the written content. Any misuse of images or content owned by Love & Stardust will be taken seriously and dealt with accordingly.
